Finance Stats Show Wolf, Feder Neck-to-Neck
By Garren Shipley -- Daily Staff Writer
Voters don't go to the polls for nearly three months, but if financial reports are any indication, the 10th Congressional District rematch between former Democrat [sic] Judy Feder and Republican Rep. Frank Wolf could well be a nip-and-tuck affair.
Two other races in the Northern Shenandoah Valley are anything but close.
Feder, a former dean of Georgetown University's Public Policy Institute, is running in a virtual financial dead heat with Wolf, a 14-term incumbent.
...
The numbers look good for Feder, said campaign manager Luke McFarland.
"Anyone who thinks this is just going to be a replay of 2006 is kidding themselves," McFarland said. "We're raising more money, we've got a much stronger base of support and this district is ready for change in 2008."
The Democratic challenger has raised nearly twice as much money as she did over the same period in 2006. Team Feder also claims more than 1,000 donors from Virginia.
